This is a unique book written by a resident of Rota, Spain, whose father was part of the engineering crew involved in the actual construction of the Rota naval base; one of the most significant construction projects in europe in the 1950's. The book contains a host of personal accounts that describe the changes that took place over the past 60 years during the construction and after and the impact the U.S. Military had on the town and its people. There are over 200 pictures not seen elsewhere in 264 pages. It is a bilingual book written in both English and Spanish.
